When i first time using the samsung c100 for downloading files via wap, there are alot errors occur. My currently network is Hotlink prepaid. When try to download it says '406 not accepted' so i call up the helpline for guide. they say i have to activate my c100 MMS first then can download files from wap. Since the c100 no MMS, how to activate it? Any suggestion? Anyone having the same problem with me?

i think maxis narrowed their gate to less than 3k, anything above 3k cannot be downloaded from wap
anyway i suggest u buy a data cable from lelong, saw somene selling an original data cable for only RM30 or less
It's better than paying for the GPRS or dial up time for normal WAP connection everytime u wanna download something

or using a Irda devices

Yeah totally agree with you guys senior! Infrared and cable is a better choice. But what can i say about the c100 is very good in sound and graphical design. But unfortunately don have MMS only EMS! I like it cuz the design is stylish and slim. But still alot people critisizing about it's ugly look....maybe different ppl have different perspective of view.

And one more thing i think the maxis have not set the downloadable features for samsung c100 since it's new released. Even though sending activation message to 22333 work out nothing cuz it saying that c100 is not in the service system.

actually i think IrDa is a better option than the data cable, coz can use it with other phone brands also, but i am not sure whether the C100 has infrared or not, so just in case it doesnt have 1 then go for the data cable :)

Yeah since the c100 is considered cheap. But when try to think it deeper actually it's expensive. There is no MMS and cannot download files from wap(unless you set the second APN). OKie...actually how much does a 40 polyphonic sound synhthesizer or the 65,000 color screen cost? How much is the phone body itself? Infrared port, or perhaps the battery? The t9 sms is quite ok, but the traditional spelling have to wait for long time to retype the same character from the same roll, for example abc,def...The magnet embended in the speaker is very strong(that's why it's clear), becuz when i try to use a metal pin to attach it stick closely compared to nokia's. So better to use handfree. The conclusion is the c100 considered quite ok, but practically not that user friendly.
