yesterday my 017 didnt have any signal in klang town. dat time i din haf transport. panicked!! maybe someone mess with my num (report stolen etc). fine. all i noe at dat time was 012 screwed up. then i used my trusty ring ring card to call.
so finally i got home, changed the sim to a real 012 hotlink ....still no signal!!!!! then i test the 9210 with 019 ..full signal as usual..no prob..
actually this problem i ledi jangka will happen (LP concert overload)..
this is the 3rd time (or more) 012 has performed badly. 1st was that time when central number hard to call in/out. 2nd was last 2 months or so, whole puchong area no coverage. bengang. 3rd was this....kinda looking forward to the 4th one since 012 so lousy...heh heh heh heh
I remember few months ago the number start with 6XXXXXX have network failure. Can't call in and out. SMS delay. Then, the KL big flood hit KL area that time, can't call Telekom fixed line.Then, last year New Year eve, langsung can''t call around Bukit Bintang/KLCC area. SMS delay. Tomorrow evening baru arrive. This time power failure. What the heck. :mad: I use my 017 to call 012 they said "we're sorry, the network u dail is busy".
maybe 012 and 017 encounter network problems!
Hello...be fair-lar...012 has the best coverage and dependability...and most of all....SERVICE. In case u still don't know, 012 have some problem with their power station or something like that yesterday.
This kind of things happens like once in a blue moon and it was for only maybe 10 to 15 minutes.
All telcos also got problem lar... none of it is perfect.

not only maxis has caused you difficulties..no matter what operator you use you'll definitely encounter times when the service is unavailable...
if u r so mad at maxis..change line lah..no one is going to stop you..try digi and tmtouch or celcom and see fo yourself...
then u decide which operator is truly the best...

Hey. Uncle BDL, you forgot something. When there is a choice. People will choose one of the choice. It's the human behaviour. Normal-lah,
People choose Maxis because mouth to mouth effect really works in this world. From the Management study... a good thing if one person know then the good news will spread to 500 peoples, then the bad things also vice versa.
It's more on human behaviour rather than the truth of technology.
Please go to CMC and study their scientific study for the MObile service. 019 is the best, second is DiGi and third is Maxis.

Most of the people make their choice usually are influenced by others people surrounding them. I believe every people in this forum here got the same experience as well too.
In political verbs, they named this group of people as PUBLIC.
Now we understand why Maxis is "TOP" because they managed branded themselves.
Still remember what I posted before? About Maxis how the start their business?
They used to be part of ASTRO sister company. They use "SATELLITE" this word to promote their service, and make every people believe they are really using this kind of advance service but in real is not. TM touch did it before few years back after they "see" how successful Maxis is, but they fail because people aware that there is no such service provided. The only Satellite phone in the world IRIDIUM also declare bankrupt.
*TM touch got another new service using IndoSat, a true satellite phone service.
About the 010 service, celcom do provide best ever coverage in Malaysia region and even the cheapest plan you can get. Talk from 7pm to 7am FOC 010 to 010 2 years back!!!! People still choose others because they need choices, choice of Transceiver (mobile phone).
About the Celcom and TM touch merging. One thing for sure we must know Celcom is under Technology Resources Industries (You all stay in KL can see the building just beside Citibank/Lion Tower). TRI major share holder belong to Tan Sri Tajuddin Bin Ramli (http://www.mykedah.com/e_20hall_fame/e202_3_02.htm). He in trouble that's why he loose out the share of TRI and TM touch doing brute force stock acquiring, that's why people might think that TM buy Celcom. If not TM touch will become history and Celcom still alive.
Nowsaday if we look at our forum, we know that DiGi still the best choice for most of our forumers here but the only lack of point is their Coverage area and they are still working on to improve their coverage area. Every months there are around 30 to 40 sites in Malaysia got new coverage or impovement.
OK. For my personal opinion the Maxis helpdesk really sucks and it's true. I call them before about the top up card I bought from them in their Customer Service Center in KL, the card numbers already used by somebody else and I have to do so many follow up calls to them to help me out. Since 17 September 2003 until still have no news and they promised to call me back in 4 working days always are the empty promised.
My ex did wrongly key in others people phone numbers instead her own phone numbers when she want to top up her DiGi prepaid. The issue solved by the helpdesk in just 1 week's time only-niah,
Oh yeah.. about the Maxis customer service center. Their customer service personnel even sucks. When they attend my case, he just surfing his mailbox and view all the Porn photos infront of me and keep on telling me, he is doing some system query. I am so frustrated and tell him on the spot, are you checking your mailbox or your system?
OK... This is my personal experience and opinion. Take it easy, I believe we are matured enough to absorb the words I write up there.

actually, celcom quality previously was because its only used by ppl who can afford the network access etc (ie u pay for quality)
who else charges for the prepaid user customer service other than the great 012? we call them for fun issit? we call them because the bloody network got problem!!! and summore want us to PAY for their weakness/problem etc.. power failure? takkan the whole central switch system etc got no generator? lousy la maxis....how many times failure ledi... looking at the 3 phones' network strength i have, 019 and 016 is good. I'm in Klang. Town. Urban area. NOT KAMPUNG. Network = 1/2 bars usually in the open. And it happens on any phone i have. Postcode 41000
019 customer service really good, responsive (sent email at 1am got reply at 5.45 am same day when i check mail at 9 am same day too - they noe what they are doing. Maxis email cust service take 1 whole bloody week to reply you noe!! wanna see? come to klang i show u the reply i got from them. 1 week later. MAXIS IS THE BEST IN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, eh?

Well, I've saw this problem 1 time when I go to maxis center last year. A handphone shop dealer came claim a Hotlink RM60 topup ticket can't be use. <b>NOT VALID</b>. Have to wait a whole day to solve. Yes, the maxis Hotlink helpline that I call, 90% is bad. A little bit problem have to wait. Like last month I call Hotlink helpline on how to activate GPRS. The consultant told me to wait. I wait lo. 5 minutes. After that, he told me to OFF the phone and start it again. Then try to enter *133# again. But can't help also. Have to pay also. Aiya. Last time I remember the <b>m:flex</b> customer have to pay for calling Helpline 123 number. But I think the postpaid is better. It's depend on your luck to get a polite consultant. Hotlink appear so many problems nowadays. Not as good as few years ago. In the Pahang area especially Temerloh, Gambang and other small town before I reach Kuantan, the maxis coverage is bad.
In the big day like Christmas and New Year eve, can't call out. Whole nite network busy. But some of my friend using DiGi 016 can call out on that time. But I think maxis is still good enough. That why I use maxis as main line and DiGi as backup. ;)
The Tan Sri Tajudin Ramli Hall of Fame is a Sejarah already la. Lose all his stake in TRI. Have been "kickout" from TRI board by Terrorcom. :)
amazon - i live in taman maznah (postcode 41000).. near to connaught bridge power station there.. furthermore it cant be a phone prob as 9210 is a good phone ma.. :)

019 was technically good, but the political/company leadership lousy ma...that's why its not popular. 012 is bad la...like my fren say - pay for the brand name oni...and keep paying if u have problems... and then pay like hell for lousy network..
012 advertisements should be cut back...the 1 million plus ringgit can be saved, they have a huge number of customers, and the $ should be used to improve network quality and maintaining domestic roaming between 012 (900MHz) and 017 (1800 MHz) because two is better than one. (especially when 012 SUCKS in Klang area). Now we all have to suffer being incommunicado along certain stretches of the NorthSouth Expressway. Thanks a million, maxis - You took away my perfect 017 coverage in my house and gave me a lousy 1/2 bars in my house. I am SO happy about lousy network signal.

Yeah...l must admit of point here about the Maxis operator. Well, not just Maxis, most of the companies in Malaysia have that kind of operator. Operator should be helpful and friendly but they aren't!! This is totally sucks.......!!!

012 aiyah....their RM100 reloads only carry 60 days validity. Other telco's 100 reload carry 90/100 days access, depending on telco la.
well..im going to plonk down with a nice 019 billing plan next mth... finishing up prepaid credit and maybe distribute the sims to girl friends (two words ar)... or maybe kedekut and lelong em off...hehehe...

if RM100 lasts u only 60 days and u complain..y dun u buy RM60 so u dun waste the RM40?
:( the maxis network quality nowadays is really downgoing , especially in Klang......... Zero bar appears quite a few times within 2 weeks and even there is full bar, i try calling my own cell phone using house phone , also cannot get through - sounded like line engaged or transfer to my voicebox.
:mad: The worse is that , whenever my oversea friends call my cell phone , although the line isn't in use, auto-transfer to voicebox....... Hm, don't know what's wrong with maxis ?
I use digi interchangebly with maxis now. Why ? I just simply like my maxis no. nice no. :p Hm.... use 019 before , good coverage and the network was never down :)
Hopefully all these mobile networks will keep on improving , and benefit us ;)
I think Maxis customer service is better than other telcos. That's why many people use maxis.. But beware.. do some homework before signing up with any maxis promotion or you will regret it.
Whatever telcos you use.. the telecommunication cost is still high here. Why? Maybe we can ask telekom... the big boss of all telcos..

rdhermy - tell me, what is so special about paying local call rate (on fixed line or mobile) just to tok with the 012 customer service consultant? why pay when all other telco is FOC calls to customer service? 012 customer service for those who have too much money to spend... Just to check on a 012-9 series simpack validity (see whether stolen onnot) oso must pay. Ppl use maxis for one reason oni - cos their frens oso use, not looking at the technical side of it.

maxis (012 ALONE) has 3.85m customers. Celcom (019) has 4.1 m customers.
ppl oso complaining about how bad maxis is ...maybe in penang different case, cos PG is small area ma....30 BTS solve the whole prob ledi...lol

I hope, there are some maxis board of directors joining the forum. Let them learn some lesson. Here in my campus, maxis is start losing their customers.. other telcos is getting better now. digi and celcom for instance..
123 is only for postpaid users..... hotlink users all have to pay in some way just to tok to customer service... sigh
maxis is sucking our money. The old SIM kad(RM238, 168, 123 pack) should give free upgrade SIM kad. We bought so expensive that time and we gonna pay RM10 for upgrading? Nonsense. :mad: Charge this, charge that. I use maxis just because the coverage and SMS RM0.15 only. Now SMS RM0.20 to other operator. Makes me so disappointed. Even activate GPRS also want to charge us RM10. celcom and DiGi activate WAP/GPRS are free. I dunno why Hotlink can't give FOC. Hotlink dun appreciate their old customers. :(
I dunno why they introduce the 9 series number to Central. Maybe in Pahang/Kelantan/Terengganu distreet dun have many buy their SIM pack. Makes people in KL so confuse wether it is Central number or not.
yupz..why nobody open 1 series? the KL number allocation is too limited - 1 series would mean about 5 million more possible mobile numbers to go around, and also lotsa good #s.
RE maxis: why did they shut down the 1800Mhz coverage? if they run both in tandem like 013+019 there will be no bandwidth problem. 900+1800 Mhz has much more spectrum bandwidth than 900 Mhz alone.
BTW now there arent any more NEW 012-2/3/6 series in production if im right? the 9-series should be 900-949 KL and 950-999 pahang/xganu etc. Typical of maxis - not systematic at all. Dunno why the klcc i center is full of ppl.
The simpacks lasttime were expensive... but now for budget use prepaid 017 (min reload 20) and 013 (100 reload for 75-80) are the cheapest.. kenot say 012 here cos its sms is really CUTTHROAT. maxis juz SUX!!
I now understand already. When I went Kuantan(Pahang)2 months ago, maxis coverage is bad. Maximum 2 bar. Before arrive at Kuantan, small town like Temerloh, Maran, Jengka, Gambang no coverage. No wonder maxis introduce 9 series to KL. maxis is creep. :(

now every telco is adding more BTS and getting better switches/HLR routers etc... shouldnt be a prob... but when its crowded, maxis just wont work .... best example was Aug30 2003, whole evening maxis just no network (got signal) in KL sentral/KLCC/Subang area. BTW there IS a maxis center in KLCC. Dunno why la...maxis just sucks on the days that i go to KL...hehe

erm..technical explanation..central zone has 2-4 HLR switches. other zone (nothern, southern) oni got 1-2 HLR switches. Of cos got in/out call congestion prob la...all on one machine/system...not forgetting that celcom was the first cellular network..better than nothing rite? comparison: jaring oso got prob back in 1993/1995 or so...

2 and 3 series is for KL and 6 series is for Melaka/Negeri Sembilan/Johor(Muar). I saw at the celcom prepaid starter pack they wrote like this. Dunno true or not. 9 series of maxis central sometimes lag also. Some people dislike 6 and 9 series because bocor already they use prepaid. :p

aiseh... since when does maxis has any class? i have already used celcom for such a long long time... no problem one. to hell goes mr. three letter maxis ass licker grandfather stories of sons, daugthers, second third fourth wives & friends experience with 019. the problem is here in my f a r k i n g house, all FIVE of my family members are using celcom, and no problem at all. and one more thing, NORTHPORT CORPERATION BERHAD (NCB), the place where my dad works, gives 019 a.k.a celcom numbers to all their managing board staff, including my dad becoz why? becoz NCB is among the heart of Malaysia, if anything goes wrong in NCB, we can all start eating sardines and ubi kayu. mr. three letter maxis ass licker won't agree with this becoz he thinks his handphone selling business is much more important to malaysia compared to the business of the number 1 port in malaysia. i am not going to exaggerate here, but my dad has 30+ years experience in port business, from overseas to penang, sabah sarawak, johore, and now port klang northport, so i know how important is a port to a country like us. all the important personnel in NCB must be able to communicate without any problems, anytime, anywhere, even from sabah and sarawak, and hell yeah, NCB does have branches overseas, and the people who work there, ONLY, i mean ONLY prefers to use use 019, and that's hell yeah, CELCOM. CELCOM's international roaming... the best. so mr. three letter maxis ass licker, u see when i say i know celcom is good, i have plenty to talk about, not like u dumb going-to-die old man, u only have the same story all the damn time.

At maxis centre Ampang Point, no such things. I think maxis KLCC branch also dun have such thing. Express payment machince to collect "hutang" have la.

clearly da best is celcom la...maxis today 012-3 call 019-2 in Klang, very very high signal, sounds like a broken record. maxis cannot be counted upon in emergencies now. The simpacks should always be ultra expensive for maxis so dat not many ppl use ("more exclusive") means less congestion.
digi oni if u cant really get a celcom nice #.. tell u wat.. ABCC is a free pattern (ie no special # charge). digi is oni good for smsing cos its 15c. but sms always seem to delay/have prob sending.
conclusion: just take celcom
anyone want used celcom xceed/xplore? got dbl dbl, nice #s. need to liquidate em cos im using postpaid...dowanna maintain so many #s...hehe

celcom can get delivery report manually. Enter *n# in the first 3 word of your message. Then, SMS center will send u delivery report with ref number. celcom can't automatically send report. If have, it still pending although the receiver received the message.
Because 9 series last time is not Central number. Sometimes memang have voice quality problem. It is normal.
maxis sengaja off the delivery report on 26/12/2003 till 5/1/04 to avoid service center congestion.

DiGi sometimes have echo ler. Means what I talk, I can hear my voice in the speaker. In KL, maxis have too many series ler. Last time 2, 3 and 6 series line not berapa OK. This time 9 series have been added to central, no wonder have quality problem.
Sometimes I feel maxis now starting cheating people. The Hotlink Welcome Card Online Submitting Welcome Card they dun say for selected user only. Charge us RM0.15 for the SMS request. :( GPRS RM10 activation fees. I feel so sorry for non-Nokia user. Kena deduct RM10, then can't use. They dun provide GPRS settings for their user. Sony Ericsson and Nokia can get the setting easily. TIMECel line now even worse than before merging. Line always drop. Before merge, TIMECel customer can call Helpline for FOC. SMS Interoperator RM0.15. Now, they suffer. INTERNATONAL SMS RM0.50. Sent 6 SMS can eat nasi lemak ler.
Now my area celcom branch been renovated. Before that, it's a TMTOUCH branch. Behind maxis center only. :D

U use what network to GPRS? If maxis, I heard people said Nokia 6800 can't GPRS. Not so sure. If celcom, I saw the celcom TV ad a guy using 6800 to GPRS. I think u have to ask the Helpline. :D

I test my maxis line to call other. My friend's DiGi have rang, but my maxis phone dun have "tut tut' sound. And when he answer my call, I can't heard what he said. Is it maxis or DiGi fault? I've encounter such problem long time ago.

Then gatal gatal want to use 016 again.. bought a 016-640111x from raulhong.. worked great... (but i still kenot figure out how ur sis [or u, raul] can get the metal box into such a rotten condition...hehehe....like a car run over it....lol) then sold off to someone else.
Digi prepaid ok la...but a lot of ppl scold me why u off ur phone issit? Cos i travel by trains often, everyday also kena taroh lidat tak syok la....so i used back my celcom as primary line.

Today 20/01/2004, really dun have delivery report. Tak syok la. My friend using all Hotlink want to change to DiGi. They said maxis GPRS dun stable. Sometimes connection lost/drop. Some said the International SMS cekik darah.

After merge with network with TIMECel, the network is bad already. Yesterday nite my friend can't check his balance. SMS delay yesterday midnite.

As I know, when we SMS using TIMECel, they system dun directly deduct the money from the account. So, we can still send SMS although that time the balance remain RM0.20. :p I think maxis will try to work out to follow the Hotlink system.
hopefully not... i still like timecel system... the voice in the 1777 announcing balance system clearer than maxis punya 122

That is depend on the area. My house is OK but in my friend's new housing area, the call quality is poor. :( Sometimes 1-2 bar line only.

so finally i got home, changed the sim to a real 012 hotlink ....still no signal!!!!! then i test the 9210 with 019 ..full signal as usual..no prob..

Yalor... after combine with 017, the network more worse. U still remember the maxis TV ad saying that maxis ot line in the lift and have EFR codec that no matter how is the environment is, the line is still clear.
I think the TIMECel 017 postpaid will migrate to other network because maxis change the policy. Before integration, TIMECel 017 prepaid can use WAP and call Helpline for FOC, but now can't already. TIMECel postpaid can use VAS service w/out any monthly charges (Call Divert, Call Waiting, Voicemail, WAP) but now maxis suddenly tarik balik the services. :( Now the reload system is gonna be combined. I think in the few years, maxis still like this, customer will lari. Shuting down the 017 network. They said if want to use WAP/GPRS, get a new maxis 012 line, it's like "FORCE" people to use maxis. They dun think about the user with only GSM1800 frequency phone. Although celcom and TMTOUCH is same now but they dun simply shuting down TMTOUCH.

I saw NST today that celcom can't receive and makes call yesterday afternoon at Bangsar and Sg Besi area. Also have user saying that yesterday maxis SMS have problem. The user sent 1 SMS only but the receiver has received many. :p Not only them, me also experienced this kind of situation.

We used to pay a lower flat rate and now we have to pay higher. Is Maxis going to refund us?
A: Well, there are pros and cons to this move, we do admit. Let us give you an example.
For local calls, at peak times, you do pay 3 sen higher. But at off-peak times you enjoy 9 sen savings i.e. you used to pay 48 sen but now you only pay 39 sen/minute.
You also still maintain 10sen/sms sent within the same network. When it was just TIMECel, you only enjoyed this when you send messages to a 017 number. Now, with the integration, it is also for messages you send to all your friends holding 012 numbers.
So, we hope you can see the benefits that we have been offering you with this migration and integration of networks.

My friend have register last month and have Call Divert, Call Waiting, TeleManager Basic and FREE Itemised Billing. ceo684, is this thing free temporary or it is have to pay the monthly fees? The bill have stated the pro rated period. Not like maxis, luan luan charge us. The description have stated where we make the calls. SMS sent info also have. maxis bill not have such thing. The SMS description not stated there and they only write how many SMS have sent. The base station info also dun have. 1st 30 seconds RM0.15.
Well...the itemised billing is free as long as u take the VAS BASIC package (that is Call Dvt; Call Wtg in one $8/mth package)...

if usage >125 but <200 consistently, then u shud take Chat plan - cos it's cheaper for longer calls....services all the same as Ezy plan. Ezy plan actually only good for <100 light users. Heavy users, consistently >200 punya phone bill, better take Biz plan. 20c calls peak time.
Today's midnite the 017 prepaid has been fully implemented to Hotlink system. Happy to hear that the balance retrieval *122# can also be use. Have to use Hotlink top up card from now on. I think today the Hotlink helpline will be busy. Cause I think not many knows about this. :)

Our MEASAT 1 and MEASAT 2 were cheap satellites (means short lifespan - in this case between 10-15 years).....u calculate la....how long dee since they were launched...and how long more they will last...heheh.....now u see why maxis is trying hard to recoup the $$ they spent on the expensive satellites....all these promotions etc...
whereas the other networks use land-based fiber optic lines to link up their entire network.... dats why just like ur astro service, for the best 012 quality calls, depends on whether its raining onnot... other networks work great regardless of the weather, rain or shine.........
maxis tak boleh diharap. :mad: I've sent a MMS to my friend but my friend can't receive my MMS. Have eat me RM0.50 per message. I've sent 2, so it's RM1.00. The GPRS have connected, but after a while, the connection lost. What a terrible network I've never seen.

yeap...even without this quiz stuff, normal smses, there are about 240000-260000 SMSes per day on celcom 019 alone. Not counting the other networks, we can say it's a minimum of $0.15x250000 = $37500 per day from SMSes alone. In one month, celcom gets 37.5Kx30= 1.125 Million ringgit. Add on the calls and VAS, access fees etc, and you'll get a huge figure. Over 2-3 M per month...cool money man.......also i never use the downloads much...and has NEVER ONCE participated in SMS quizzes (bloody exp).
Yeap... even dun have the SMS quiz... with the normal interoperator SMS they do have big profit.

Have been a 019 user for 2-3 years . Service is bad , signal was very bad at that time due to always calls can't come in despite signal is 2 bars...thats why i switched to 012. Even though I have terminated my service for 019 , 4 years ago and settled all the bills, they keep sending me the monthly statement stating the account credit = RM 0.00 . Man! don't they update their database! What a waste of paper & envelope!!! Called them to tell them but they still send the bloddy statements!!
As for me in (penang) 012 signal has a widest coverage compared to the others. (in my factory, certain parts of the building (where i am most of the time) got no signal except for 012) I have used Maxis international roaming in a few countries and I am satisfied with the line support so far. Another thing, the customer service for Maxis is very efficient.(for me) The only downside for Maxis is their charges is higher than other operators.
After I read this thread, all I can say is some people is are too arrogant & rude. If you think Maxis
service is bad ,thats your right to express it ! but if there are some people who support MAxis thats their right too!! EFFICIENT...HUH... simple thing like unbarring the SMS on 017 also takes one whole day....morning i call, get an idiot who tell me to switch on and off my phone. By night also tak boleh SMS. (3 days before this I reloaded 30 into 2 temporary barrred accounts) Only night time i kena a good cust service dude. In 5 minutes problem settled. THIS INEFFICIENCY SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED. 4 DAYS AFTER RELOAD, BARU BOLEH SMS. ***.

you are right i used a 5110 with a boken antenna while using 019 ..but funny i didn't had to change the anttenna to get the extra signal ----i changed to 012 ...!!! funny..he he .... Bdl if i repaired the antenna sure that time got 6 bar....ha ha!

I memang was using celcom (4x) maxis (2x) and timecel (2x) since LONG TIME lerr...also tried digi from 1999 to 2001, then again in 2003 (the 016-6401119 which i have since sold off)
btw, I got maxis prepaids, 012-3148xxx and 012-9149xxx, dats why I have the RIGHT TO COMPLAIN/GET UPSET.
the thing is, 012 [and now 017 also] (until now) and 016 (last time early 2002) have INEFFICIENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
also 017, u tekan wrongly the reload card number ONCE, will block ur acc just like that...have to waste $$ calling the "GOOD" maxis hotline who knows nuts, then i had to call again, baru boleh un-block. WHEREAS 019 U CAN ENTER SALAH RELOAD CARD # 3 TIMES.

Businessmen in Puchong Kinrara also complaining. Always commenting "no line". One of them, the boss of CKL Machinery S/B, his maxis bill is 400-500 per month. Always saying "no line" on a quite new phone is one weird thing about 012 that happens, but we wonder why, horr? {maxis no $ to upgrade their voice encoding systems to support the extra load probably - never happened till the launch of the cheap $88 and $68 now SIMpacks}

Nothing wrong with my phone. Definitely a Maxis problem.) Also sometimes maxis sms server dunno for what reason fails to receive a message (msg sending failed error, even with 220+ ringgit in the phone, airtime valid etc). Happens more with 012, can compare cos my usage of my 012 017 and 019 much the same.
Whereas, for comparison, not many people are talking bad about celcom. That means in most locations, celcom is much better; as celcom and maxis have a similar (close figure) number of subscribers according to today's NST newspaper.
also, digi is OK wat...just call their cust.service and ask them to put back the antenna or install an additional one la...while I was using digi,after I called them, just one week later they put an antenna just 200m down the road facing my house.. 016 perfect signal till now...my neighbour on 016 so I can say how good it is in my area.
broken antenna joke? might turn out to be reality if ur using an antenna phone - it can fracture internally and you never realise it...

Yeap. Agree this with u. I got 1 maxis postpaid and 1 Hotlink prepaid line. Sometimes my prepaid line is not clear and some of my friend complaining to me too. Me sometimes kena voicemail too when afternoon time. The person that using maxis that dun have voicemail the phone said "Sorry, the number u have dail, is out of coverage area". He in KL man. He said to me it was full bar. Another case is my sis graduate at UPM Serdang. After the convo, all maxis user suffered. Can't call out and receiving calls. Even the SMS "Message not sent this time". Sedangkan celcom user can roam to TMTOUCH and TMTOUCH to celcom. celcom got 1 antenna around UPM area. Because the cell info display the name of the antenna is UPM.
MAXIS is better for me & 70% of people I know (Penang people) 2nd =Digi then Celcom.....

Prepaid user complaining that they didn't get any rewards for royalty. Stay for 2-3 years using Hotlink but no any bonus rewarded. Imagine if some heavy user reload more than RM60 a month, they didn't get any reward, the call charges didn't get any discount or any reload bonus. The useless discount coupon(m-coupon) got la. Postpaid user at least have Bonuslink points.
Communication is important for businessman. Takkan they suka-suka change their phone number. If change phone number so leceh. The business card have to write the new phone number or print new number business card. Inform others about your new number, that is waste of money. So that is the reason why some businessman is staying with the operator full of problem even they have choice to change.

Last time I went Sungkai(Perak) to fetch my friend back home, my friend use 019. He play roaming. :p Some area celcom 1-2 line bar only. After roaming to TMTOUCH, 4 bar. hehe. :D In my home sometimes talk about 10 minutes the line suddenly disconnected. My house only got 1 maxis base station. celcom got 2 base station.

celcom Xplore, Xceed and Xcel SMS and airtime account has been combine into 1 single account where we can send SMS and make calls. Great job from from celcom. I think the GPRS for prepaid is coming shortly.

I must admit, that 017 before merge had maybe the worst coverage area. But it's still very good for me. Because I seldom go to such area. And because 017 had fewer user, the line quality and capacity was excellent.
017 is the best in highway at that time. After merging with 012, I sometimes get only 1 bar of signal strength on my phone while last time I got at least 3 out of 5.
haha....try callin 010-3000900 - or the Celcom Jln Ampang KL branch number (pay local rate)- easier to get through. U ppl ah, free customer service also complain. If server bz den try again tomoro la...what's wrong? Peak hour, a LOT of people will call in to enquire about this and that.
Prepaid 012 must pay to call customer service - of cos noone will call la...stupid meh..muz pay money dei!

I dun think maxis fix the problem fast. Many prepaid user have complain that the low balance announcement is annoying for so many years but this year they only take action. The GPRS has so many problems. So many drop connections that I've experienced.

Last time TIMECel customer service is really good. Few years, I help my friend to check the WAP settings for his phone, the consultant are more polite and gives accurate info to customers than nowadays Hotlink. That time TIMECel customer service is FOC. But now have to pay.

Today, I agree with u that 3000900 hard to call in. 8pm say nwk bz. OK, i try again at 9.20. Works perfectly, I confirmed that muh payment has been credited aledi, thats all i need to noe...then end call... fast n easy.
Oh..maxis is not TOTALLY bad... they gave me 200 bucks free on my 017 prepaid dunno for wat...lolz...ppl expect balance 28 or so, suddenly oni 228...fuiyoh...upto now still 220+...hahaahaa...

erm....019 3000 900 is for POSTPAID CUST SERVICE LA> 019 3000 910 is for PREPAID careline ...u need to topup, u call them on 019 3000 "910" la, not 900 .... or send a sms to 2999 (or was it 2888?) to reload oso can wat...
u want to check ur bill den oni u call 3000900
personally, the menara TR ppl are much more frenly and efficient compared to the port klang service center. Prefer going to KL to pay the bill cos got express bill payment line - very fast. U goto portklang u waste about 10 mins+ waiting
PS. On prepaid u can just call 1930 for the teleservice if u wanna topup;
for customer service just call 1900 la...simple...
