The signal is ultimatly low when inside builiding and especially undergrond carparks. amazon2020 19-10-03, 18:35 I think Celcom has 1 problem only that is inside buliding coverage. The signal is ultimatly low when inside builiding and especially undergrond carparks. depends on places lah. underground carparks, i don't see even one telco can rule all the underground carparks. in suria klcc underground carpark, celcom is good while maxis is not. while in low yat plaza underground, celcom is terrible and maxis is good :) give & take. if one telco can rule them all, meaning we don't need any other telcos. that single telco can charge like hell also. now we have 3, meaning, u can choose. i choose celcom. i hate bdl facts, he talks just like maxis is the only one that u can rely on. what the hell? amazon2020 19-10-03, 18:38 helpline is better than 012 in any case. auto roaming works great. still can sms on a celcom prepaid mobile that is "terminated" - netwk access expired 30/03/2003... still can sms....hehehee.. 200 reloads are great..can get about 28 worth of airtime+sms credit FOC (on xplore 5 mths) yalah.... in bonus cases, celcom is the best. they give u so much airtime bonus. i used celcom prepaid mobile since 1999, and i continued the 2 card system to excel. damn cun, reload 50, u get 12.50 bonus. a lot, considering excel is 30 cents peak and 15 cents off peak. now i'm using the new EZY Plan postpaid. cun, but i still keep the prepaid card. just in case giving it to some one. well, for all that long i've been satisified. well bdl, am i STUPID for choosing celcom considering celcom is not that best and MAXIS is? ceo684 19-10-03, 20:37 012, 019 carpark (tesco klang especially) is bad. But celcom autoroams to 013. Acquires signal. 012 - hopeless. Only when u get to ground level can u expect some signal... oh yeah i wanna complain about 012's $100 = 60days access in the 012 thread...hehe ceo684 20-10-03, 10:07 maxis postpaid...nth great....oni that the expensive plans got no access fee etc... no matter how BAD celcom is, it has DOMESTIC ROAMING. Maxis = roaming apa pun tadak...prolly the 012 cust service say, "Sir, what is roaming? New postpaid plan?" LOL!!!!!!! bdl 20-10-03, 10:48 yalah.... in bonus cases, celcom is the best. they give u so much airtime bonus. i used celcom prepaid mobile since 1999, and i continued the 2 card system to excel. damn cun, reload 50, u get 12.50 bonus. a lot, considering excel is 30 cents peak and 15 cents off peak. now i'm using the new EZY Plan postpaid. cun, but i still keep the prepaid card. just in case giving it to some one. well, for all that long i've been satisified. well bdl, am i STUPID for choosing celcom considering celcom is not that best and MAXIS is? --heh...heh... amazon2020 you're not stupid... everybody had their own choice... --you choose which ever suit you...right... so go ahead make your own choice... --that's why there's so many operator last time... those can survive they carry on... --those cannot just took over by someone else... right...? no harm done... :D .... davis 20-10-03, 10:54 --heh...heh... amazon2020 you're not stupid... everybody had their own choice... --you choose which ever suit you...right... so go ahead make your own choice... --that's why there's so many operator last time... those can survive they carry on... --those cannot just took over by someone else... right...? no harm done... :D .... There are one thing for sure all these Telco in Malaysia are not willing to merge with each others. Politic & economy new regulation makes the asimiliation works. As what people say "......Mahathir Say One......" *Bdl please take note on this. ceo684 20-10-03, 19:33 yupz...merge and maintain both networks on-line is GOOD. merge and shut down the network that u just bought over is NOT GOOD!! davis 22-10-03, 09:43 I read theSUN newspaper for today, the first cover of the newpaper delivered a clear message to public. TMtouch = history Celcom = present & future. Celcom with new hummingbird logo. http://www.celcom.com.my/images/header/logo.gif ceo684 22-10-03, 13:19 clap clap clap clap (big round of applause)... nice logo, at least better than 3com punya ;) bengjiun 22-10-03, 22:54 siaocom...doesnt suit sensible people like me... my mom got so sick of celcom that our whole family switch to maxis!.. even digi provide better service than siaocom.. anyway..to fellow mr PRO SIAOCOM here...be polite ...don kutuk people..outsider like me see liao also beh syok.. ceo684 23-10-03, 01:03 kutuk?! comparisons ma... at least 019 new logo is far better than other ppl's "new" logo that looks kinda "not to the point" rite? 3Com sell hubs and stuff la...not stuffed toys! mak's sees (mother's sh1t)...aih... doesnt suit professionals like me.. cmon la... wake up... a huge proportion of lawyers use CELCOM not their mom's poo! btw, say im a 5210 and hotlink user, how to access WAP harr? PS> I meant to say WAP over CSD type of phone, not WAP over GPRS connection (in short) bengjiun 23-10-03, 10:51 shows that u never do ur home work...i didnt recall any 8250 can support wap.....get a new phone or ur 9210 to surf wap ok? and the settings can be found in www.hotlink.com.my.... if u r using t610 or 6100 or 7250...thats even better..what u need to do is just send a message n they will let u download the settings.. wah..i doubt that u use maxis before ceo684 23-10-03, 11:25 u doubt?! check my lelong listing, same username (ceo684) u see bought quite a few 012s there. can work meh on 5210?! AFAIK they dont support WAP over CSD la... hmm? btw i noe u can use WAP over GPRS, so nonit to tok bout that. laytiong 23-10-03, 11:30 don't just reply for the sake of arguing which is better..i myself have not used celcom before but i did use tmtouch 6 years back.. but it seems that celcom isn't doing that well...if they are truly the best how come so many people changed operators? please do enlighten me since u claim to support celcom so much... i myself is a digi and maxis user...as far as i know..maxis is still better than digi in most places in terms of coverage...maxis's helpdesk also better than digi... the only line that i still experience dropped lines during dialling is digi... back then they really suck....coverage was extremely bad...as long as u are in an enclosed building....no line... ceo684 23-10-03, 11:44 because: "wool pulled over their eyes" - satellite technology etc. ma.. u noe, a lot of ppl simply follow what they were told...heh heh maxis have never let hotlink users (whether 5- 6- or 9- series #) use the traditional WAP la. pls kindly explain why? server cannot take it cos no money to upgrade?! summore maxis as i noe, most of the customers are prepaid users. at least digi has WAP. and maxis has the most network failures in the year of 2003. 1st time the central maxis number hard to call in/out. 2nd time the network went down few times in puchong area. 3rd time on 16/10/2003 - takkan they cannot call tnb to plug in a few generators?! celcom was operating on a "can afford can use" business, more targeted to busy professionals. thats why u can have 200 dollar reloads and 6 mth network access. those ppl hear from their frens that 012 is the best. hahaha...hahahaha.....wait till they get to a spot where 012 tadak signal and 019 users are happily chatting away. jalan kastam, port klang area is one fine example. i was a 016 user from 1998 to 2002. back then i agree coverage really sucked. everywhere lousy, even in my hse. now, recently i got a 016 # and surprisingly 016 full bar in my house. and btw its a single sty - should be no prob bout signal penetration. In short, ppl nowadays dont want to change from 012 because they bought the old simpacks at 238 or more... for junk #s usually. 019 didnt do so well last time cos they were more focused on billing plans (remember those 019 subsidised phones last time?) bengjiun 23-10-03, 12:30 [QUOTE=ceo684]because: "wool pulled over their eyes" - satellite technology etc. ma.. u noe, a lot of ppl simply follow what they were told...heh heh maxis have never let hotlink users (whether 5- 6- or 9- series #) use the traditional WAP la. pls kindly explain why? server cannot take it cos no money to upgrade?! summore maxis as i noe, most of the customers are prepaid users. at least digi has WAP. and maxis has the most network failures in the year of 2003. 1st time the central maxis number hard to call in/out. 2nd time the network went down few times in puchong area. 3rd time on 16/10/2003 - takkan they cannot call tnb to plug in a few generators?! QUOTE] hmph..answer to ur question is again..very simple.. they don have enough customer base to support their service......gimmi a reason why should they run wap service when no one is really interested with the service offered??? wap with a connection of only 9.6 kbps...who wans to use it?? secondly, it is charged by the usage time..that is also another reason that wap is not introduced to hotlink users. because most of the hotlink users r budget users..they wont spent hrs on wap just to find a small piece of info and yet costing them a lot... now..they intro GPRS because it is better compared to 9.6kbps...they calculate by per kb instead of per min..and another thing is that MMS is getting popular..thats why maxis only intro GPRS to hotlink users...lastly...i see no idea why maxis wanna intro Conventional WAP again when they have a faster connection like GPRS already..just my two cents bdl 23-10-03, 12:44 --heh...heh... for all your information... WAP is a big failure not even in Malaysia even in Europe... --the short comings are... 1st ..speed too slow... mostly text content only... --2nd charges very high... with 9.6 speed some more airtime... will kill you in $$$... --3rd... no incoming call while surfing using WAP... so it's total failure... --that's why they come up with GPRS with speed of around 33... --later then come 3G will be next year...only two operators are having the 3G licence.. --one is Maxis and the other one is Telekom... :D .... ceo684 23-10-03, 12:53 sowie - terpost twice.. cos tmnet lagging! ceo684 23-10-03, 12:54 can download B&W picmsg (or was it logo?) from certain sites FOC via WAP ma...especially when it's cheaper than a 2.00 download from amuzo etc. also, WAP can get CNN Asia news on the move ma...heheh bengjiun 23-10-03, 12:55 ceo...u can still do that with GPRS :) all telco should be able to surf using wap when u enable ur grps bdl 23-10-03, 13:01 --yes... for GPRS... you can surf WAP and WorldWideWeb both... --but WAP phone only can surf WAP only... :D .... ceo684 23-10-03, 13:01 can meh? alamak..now cannot test cos gave away 012 sims ledi.... ahem ahem **with one exception: 9210 WAP + internet phone** :D bdl 23-10-03, 13:09 --heh...heh... it's pity that Nokia 9210i still didn't support GPRS.. --the internet connecting speed is 9.6 or 14.4....? :D .... ceo684 24-10-03, 17:06 9600 - 28000 supported... dunno whether really 28.8 onnot? but can use HSCSD settings to connect.. celcom supports HSCSD :D GPRS : very long explanation here...listen carefully :) 9210 native support tadak GPRS. But with Psiloc Extended Internet, can use IR to connect to a 6510 etc (GPRS phone) that is already connected to GPRS. (phone to phone-tat-has-GPRS) CashOnly 28-10-03, 14:30 Please rants whatever you want to say about TMTouch & Celcom, just pure TMTouch & Celcom ONLY. Both also bad so no use say anything lor ceo684 29-10-03, 21:03 yayaya... yayaya... you tokking when? 1990 time arh?! nowadays celcom best coverage la brother!! they (019+013) are the only one with domestic roaming (prolly the oni ones who can afford it)... maxis? kenot afford...so shut down 1800MHz timecel heykwun 31-10-03, 09:33 i used 019 prepaid TO 016 prepaid i switched bcos chg state number NOW I'M 013 registered line i switched cos registration was free my phone(samsung) always no line..so i curse cuse curse013 rupanya its cos my fon the antena rosak or something cos usually i use the phone to throw at my boyfriend and it drop in coca cola before. anyway...i see youngsters now..(cheh..........sound so old) cannot live without their handphones. like that merdeka advert. hair the same ....but never talk to each other...tau sms only.... can u live w/out yr handphone? try it for one day..... ceo684 31-10-03, 12:02 sure can live without it.. cos if prepaid pokai ma dun use lorr... blek.. prepaid call rate expensive ma...now its hard to get 012 users to sms non maxis numbers, u noe? :D ceo684 18-11-03, 20:17 on 2nd thought, the two guys on tv may be smsing each other leh? lolz :P |
