2,3,6,9 series means the 1st number of the mobile number. as example 012-2xxxxxx, 012-3xxxxxx, 012-3xxxxxx, 012-6xxxxxx, 012-9xxxxxx. previously the 9 number belongs to Kelantan, Pahang and so on lah (i don't know much, maybe bdl can explain more about that), but now, 9 belongs to the central zone (kawasan tengah) i once asked a shop how about all the 9 series number that were bought (prepaid) or subscribed (postpaid) earlier, than the shopkeeper told me if you want your old 9 series number to be included in the central zone, what you have to do is upgrade your SIM card. i hope what i am saying here is correct :)

Now Hotlink start with 2,3,6 are more harder to find. If have, the seller will sell it more higher than the RRP. Or their may use 017. More cheaper. My friend bought 017-3XX3168 RM45 only.
