Why and What are the benefits of being a Verified Member ?
(Rm10.00 one time to be a Verified Member)

Generally, when trading online, it's hard to trust anyone with a simple registration. Most of our buyers will not buy from non verified member. Thus, to be a seller, we general require them to do a 1 time verification which solve all the doubt that buyers have on you.

With a verified ID :
a. You tell our community that you are genuine person with a real name, and your name are back by your MyKad and other document.
b. We do not limit you to post item (unless quota imposed due to violation)
c. We do not limit you to bid (unless seller block you from their auction)
d. Our community will be able to identify that you are verified with this batch.
e. Verified Badge will show next to your posting
f. You can post item with picture for free
g. You can bold your posting title
h. You can use credit card to pay fees, subject to further approval (Top up iAccount)
i. Your item listing position are rank higher than non verified members.
i. You can place bad comment on sellers.

Lelong Member Verification

We have upgraded our system and requirement for Verified member, we have 3 categories of application.

1. Verified as Buyer -Only Mykad and Pls stated Be Buyer in Remark column
2. Verified as Seller
3. Verified as a Company

FAQ :

I have applied online, how long should I wait before it is upgraded?

a. 2 business days upon your complete submission, which include all document and payment.
b. If it is not completed in 2 business day, pls check e-mail, we will notified you what’s went wrong. Pls make sure we can reach your home number.
c. If you do not received e-mail or being contacted, then pls write to verify @ lelong.com.my or contact us.

(Our office closed on saturday/sunday)

What is a Verified Member?
All verified member are being screened thru with the following:

a. Mykad submitted for verification.
b. Have a home or office number which we have contacted them before.
c. Have submitted their bill header (the portion with your address and the date clearly printed) to further authenticate their latest address and name (Compulsory for Seller). This helps to prevent fake IC.


What if I do not have a home number or a fixed line ?

You can still write to us and let us know how we can best authenticate you, and what info you can provide to us. We can also call to your home town if you are staying outstation. ( We do not accept PO Box Address )


What document we do not accept as supporting document?

a. We do not accept online bill header, which did not required to send to you, we need a scan copy of your bill header which sent to your address.
b. Driving license
c. Or any other document which could be lost together with your purse or bags.

My account has been upgraded, why I can’t post item ?

Pls check if your request to be a buyers or sellers ? for buyers, you can post item, you need to upgrade with additional document before you can post item to sell. Pls request for upgrade from verify @ lelong.com.my


Can I be a buyer and upgrade to be a seller or company later?

Yes, you can, all we need is just additional document from you and we will verified your fixed line again.


Can I still buy without being a Verified Buyer?

Yes, of course, we welcome everyone to shop online, restriction only apply on bidding activities. You can bid up to 5 items at any one time. But we do not restrict you order using buynow.


What are the benefits of being verified?

I need to pay RM10.00, is this life time ? Refundable ?

It is lifetime, and not refundable. However, if we rejected the application, we will refund you, but we will not refund if your account being approved, but suspended for other offences during your participation in this trading community.


I am a foreigner in Malaysia, how should I go about this verification?
You can write to us, we deal with foreigner on a case by case basis. We do not verified foreigner not residing in Malaysia.

I am a Malaysian currently residing oversea ?
We welcome you to buy and send items to your family or friends in Malaysia, but we do not allowed you to sell. You can still upgrade to be a verified buyer. To sell, you need to get someone local here to do the jobs for you and he has to be responsible for you.


Will my "Verified Member Status" being stripped off?

Yes, it is common and we reserve the right to strip the Verified Status at anytime when your information is found to be obsolete or incorrect. However, re-instatement of the status is always free upon their information are updated to the latest, but we will re-verified all your details and you may be required to re-submit new document to prove your latest address.


I want to upgrade, but I want to use a new User ID instead of the current one I have.

Yes, it is possible, you need to write in to request for a new ID. Pls write to feedback @ lelong.com.my , stated 3 choices of your new ID. However, your old ID maybe canceled and all your rating in your New ID start with Zero. We reserved the right not to issue you any new id.


What’s Non Verified Member ? ( NVM )

Normal registered users who sign up to use Lelong.com.my free services are still relatively anonymous, even though we do have their e-mail address and other contact details. However, we do not authenticate their information other than making sure their their handphone and e-mail is working So, trade with your own risk.

如何成为认证会员 ？

您必须要提交以下的证件:

1.您的MyKad - 马来西亚的身份证，如果可以，（最好是拍您手持MyKad照片。）

2.任何有您的名字，最新地址的 水电费，信件，政府机构的任何文件。文件须有日期。

3.您的住家电话，或是办公室的电话号码。

请您用电脑扫描，或是相机拍了文件后，上传到我们的会员认证系统。我们的人员会在两个工作天内 ，联络您。




如果我们的人员对您所提供证件有任何疑问，会用电邮通知您。方便您回复的时候，在邮件里附上所需的文件。我 们的人员也可能会要您手持证件拍个近身照以确定您的该文件的持有人。

您的手续有点麻烦！

我们了解认证手续在某些程度上对卖家会有点麻烦，不过这是“一次性”的。认证了以后，就会得到大家的认同和 赞赏的。希望卖家可以有点耐心。网络认证会员在很多亚洲区域内的的大型买卖网站都已经实行了很多年了。也希 望卖家可以把它当成一个学习的过程。


我家里没有电话号码。

认证会员是一个很谨慎的手续，我们首先需要可以联系到您手机以外的电话。
当您的买卖发生问题，如果有急事而我们又联络不到您的手机，我们可以尽量的联系您的家人，以留下讯息。以便 您随时可以回复。

由于上网买卖也是一项商业的交易行为，我们有责任在需要的时候，可以联系到您或是您的家人。以 解决问题。

1. 您可以提供您办公号码。如果有必要，认证的时候，我们会帮您保密。
2. 您也可以提供您父母的电话号码。如果是手机，我们只接受PostPaid的手机号码。
